Pen Tool Tutorial

Hi, This tutorials been really useful but i'm getting a little frustrated with the final cool technique. For some reason everytime i select my path and then try to stroke path with the fade brush settings, i just get a stroke along the first curve and then nothing. I'm using CS6 and when i right-click to get the option to stroke path, it comes up with subpath instead of just path and i can't find a simple 'stroke path' option. Is this the problem and if so have you heard about how i can get around this?
